Options Tab

Some options that affect how the Ebook work (but not the appearance, which is set in Interface Tab) are set here.

Main Frame

By default the frame intended as Main Frame will be printed and will display search results when searching all pages. However, if this field is left blank (unfilled) the user may be able to select the frame to be printed (when using frames, of course).

When using Macros is important to set correctly the main frame, otherwise the print macro will print the frame where the macro placed instead of the main frame.

Text copy options

Characters Copy limit (0 = no limit)

Images copy options

The user may be able to copy text or images from the Ebook according to how the copy options are set.

The text may be copied by using the Copy menu or pressing Ctrl-C, images only can be copied by right-clicking on an image and selecting the Copy Image command in the contextual menu.

If text or image copying are disabled, the menu commands for copying text or/and images will be hidden, no matter how they are set in the Menu window.

Characters Copy limit: Allows to set the maximum number of characters that can be copied at once (up to 30.000). If it is set to 0 the number will be unlimited. If Allow copying is not set this option will not work (making it not possible to copy any text).

The text and image copy options are:

  • Allow copying: no restrictions to copy text or images.
  • Do not allow copying: it is not possible copying neither text or images.
  • Allow copying only after registration: copying will be possible only after entering a registration password. See: How to Protect your Ebook.
Save Ebook Position
If this option is selected, Ebooks will open at the same page they were closed. If the Ebook has frames this option will have no effect.
Confirmation message before closing the Ebook (leave it blank to avoid any message)
If a message (e.g. Are you sure?) is written in this field, Ebooks will ask for confirmation before closing. If the field is left blank no confirmation will be asked.
