Configure the appearance and the Main options in the Ebook in this Tab.
This button allows setting how the Ebook toolbar and logo will look and work. |

| Shows or Hides the Ebook Title Bar. The Title Bar is where the Ebook title appears and from where the Ebook window can be dragged on the screen. | Usually the About Page is displayed in an small window, but if this option is selected it will be opened inside the ebook Main window. |

| If the Status Bar is visible, this option will show the filenames associated with links when the cursor is over a hot spot in the Ebook. | This option determines if the Status bar (which shows information about the links under the mouse cursor) is to be shown or hidden. |

| Convert character entity and numeric references | |||||||||||||

Modifies HTML source pages so the search function can find accented and special characters (like ñ, ç and many others more). This kind of characters usually is written as character entities or numeric character references. Example
Because HyperMaker Ebooks only search for literal characters (like á or ñ), to be able to find accented characters in your publications the HTML source must be modified. Of course, if you are using plain English language you do not need to select this option. This option is disabled, unless you select it. |

Navigation Pane Options Navigation Pane Options HyperMaker ebooks show the Navigation Pane on the left, where the Index, Search, Table of Contents and Favorites tabs are located. The Navigation Pane appearance is configured in the Publication Interface Tab, as shown below: If Show Navigation Pane is selected, the Pane will be visible when the Ebook starts, otherwise it will remain hidden until the user clicks the corresponding button or menu to show it. Favorites is an optional panel. Only if Show Favorites is selected the user will have the choice to have Favorites. The Default Tab option specifies which tab will be visible the first time. Default width sets the default Navigation Pane width, which can be modified by the user. The
The checkboxes in this sub-pane modify how the Table of Contents looks and works. As you can see above, some options are selected by default.
If some options are not clear, you can see how the TOC tab in the Publication Manager changes its appearance and behavior when you select different options, also you can try compiling ebooks with different options selected until you fully understand how the Table of Contents Options work.

Font: You can set the default text color, size and font style here.
Color:
Background: You can set the default background color here.
Link: Set the default hotspot color.
Over Link: Set the default Over Link (when the mouse is over the HotSpot) color.
Visited Link: Set the default Visited Link (after the link was visited once) color.
Active Over Link: If this option is selected, the Over Link color will be displayed when the mouse is over the HotSpot.
No Link Underline: Disables the HotSpot underline.
These settings can be overwritten with the use of certain HTML tags. If you choose to use a non-standard font you may need to include the corresponding font file (only True Type fonts are supported) in the directory of the publication by using the Font Wizard. When the publication runs it will install automatically the font.
Show Alternate Label: If selected, the ALT tag for images will be displayed in a small text box, each time a user's mouse goes over the image. The ALT text will be shown using the same popup background color specified above under Pop-Up window options.
