Compiling an Ebook
Compilation is the process that turns HTML pages and related files (images, audio, etc.) in an Ebook or an Ebook Installer.
To compile an Ebook click the
button.on HyperMaker Toolbar or the corresponding menu command on the File menu.
You should select a pair of compilation options and then indicate where your Ebook is going to be saved (if you did not select Partial compilation).
Compression Options
- Maximum speed. No encryptation nor compression. The files will be simply stored
inside the publication file.
- Minimum size. Secure encryption method. The files inside the publication will be compressed and encrypted.
An Ebook using uncompressed and unencrypted files may
be bigger but runs faster than an encrypted and compressed one.
On the other hand, a compressed Ebook will be smaller
(specially if there are many text files) and also more secure
against user tampering.
Compilation Options
- Create an ebook that requires HyperMaker viewer
HyperMaker will create a file with .htz5 file extension, readable with the freely distributable HyperMaker Viewer.
If you wan to sell many different Ebooks to the same readers, compiling them in this way will save space and bandwidth, since your user will download HyperMaker Viewer only once, because it will not be embedded inside each Ebook file.
- Partial compilation to preview the ebook
Only some small temporary files will be created, since Partial compilation is only intended for testing how your Ebook will look when ready.
- Create stand-alone ebook
Creates executable Ebooks that do not require any other program to run.
- Create stand-alone setup program
Creates an executable Ebook which also includes
an installer. Learn More.
